 Dr. Miller is a specialist with 39 years of experience in vapor compression refrigeration systems, absorption heat and mass transfer and building science technologies. He is retired from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory but continues to work as a Lecturer for the College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Miller completed an assessment of commercial air-conditioning equipment operating in the hot and harsh climate of Kuwait with R410A refrigerant as a drop-in replacement for HCFC-22. In building science he coordinated a team of engineers with the setup of four 50% energy saver homes. He has field tested radiant barriers for Louisiana Pacific and Billy Ellis Roofing. He is working on an assessment of radiant barrier systems for the Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association.
